New Regency finds comedy in Maxim article

Craig Brewer (Hustle & Flow) will write and direct New Regency's Mother Trucker, a project based on a Steven Russell-penned Maxim magazine article. Called an update to Smokey and the Bandit, the action comedy is about a man who steals an 18-wheeler after escaping from jail to visit his ailing mother.
