Shia LaBeouf to play student in John Grisham adaptation
Shia LaBeouf landed the lead role in The Associate, a Paramount film based on an unreleased John Grisham novel that will bow in bookstores in January. The story is about a student (LaBeouf) who accepts a job at a law firm upon graduating from Yale Law School. There, he's given privileged information about a multi billion-dollar lawsuit. The book marks Grisham's first legal thriller since 2005's The Broker.
