Johnny Depp buys potential star vehicle
Johnny Depp's production company Infinitum Nihil bought the screen rights to In the Hand of Dante, a 2002 novel by Nick Tosches. The story is about parallel storylines. In one, Dante is in 14th-century Italy trying to complete his work, The Divine Comedy. And in a contemporary story, author Tosches is asked to authenticate what might be Dante's original manuscript. Depp may play Tosches.
