WB wants Will Smith for prequel project
Warner Bros. wants star Will Smith and director Francis Lawrence back for an I Am Legend Prequel. Making a prequel was the only way for the studio to extend the lucrative franchise with Smith aboard, as Smith's character dies in the first film. D.B. Weiss will write the script.
