Jeff Nathanson turns 39
Scribe Jeff Nathanson will pen DreamWorks' first installment of The 39 Clues, a kids film that Steven Spielberg is eying as a directing vehicle. The pair previously worked together on The Terminal, Catch Me If You Can and the latest Indiana Jones movie. Aimed at kids in the 8-12 demo, The 39 Clues focuses on the Cahills, the most powerful family in the world. However, to learn of their secret powers, one must assemble 39 hidden clues, which are scattered across the globe throughout history. The book series' first entry, The Maze of Bones, hits stores next week, with the second installment dropping December 2nd. The series is envisioned as a ten-book franchise.
