DreamWorks finds Lamp scribes
Writing duo Dave Guion and Michael Handelman will adapt Children of the Lamp, a DreamWorks fantasy film based on a series of novels by Brit author P.B. Kerr. The story is about a family of djinn (a kind of genie) who disguise themselves as humans while still granting wishes. DreamWorks is eying the film as the start of a potential franchise. Four novels in the series are already in print, and another two are on the way, according to the author.
