Brian Metcalf to direct first flick

Visual effects supervisor Brian Metcalf will make his directing debut with Fading of the Cries, an independently financed film that Metcalf also penned. Starring American Pie's Thomas Ian Nicholas, the story is about a young man who uses a magic sword to save his town from evil. Jordan Matthews also stars.
