Paramount greenlights franchise's reboot
Riding the heels of the successful relaunch of the Indiana Jones franchise, Paramount wants a fourth Beverly Hills Cop, and star Eddie Murphy is already attached to reprise his role as Detroit detective Axel Foley. Brett Ratner is in talks to direct the picture, which the studio wants in time for a summer 2010 release. The most recent Beverly Hills Cop film was released in 1994.
