Doris Lessing's The Grandmothers to get big screen treatment
French producer Dominique Besnehard snatched the adaptation rights to Nobel Prize-winning author Doris Lessing's The Grandmothers. The story, to be directed by Anne Fontaine, is about two fiftysomething women (Nathalie Baye and a planned A-list American actress), who each are having an affair with the other's son. The producer hopes to cast Susan Sarandon as the other lead.
