Miramax to produce dysfunctional family dramedy
Scott Rudin, Alexandra Milchan, Aimee Peyronnet and Miramax Films will produce Man Under, a dark dramedy from writer Ann Cherkis (The Secret). The story, described to be American Beauty-esque, is about the drab and depressing lives of a suburban dysfunctional family. When a photographer is murdered after taking their family portrait, and the portrait ends up in a high-profile museum, the family is forced into the spotlight of a trendy art scene, and their lives take a dramatic turn.
