Kapur tackles Larklight with Eastern Promises scribe
Shekhar Kapur (Elizabeth: The Golden Age) will direct and tapped Philip Reeve (Eastern Promises) to help him pen Larklight, a $200 million adaptation for Warner Bros. Based on a 2006 book, the Victorian-era alternative universe/period fantasy is about a pair of siblings who team with a band of space pirates to save the world from a madman. In such a universe, man has been exploring the solar system since Isaac Newton's time.
