Sascha Penn (The Ditch) will handle writing duties for The Last Equation, a film based on Stuart Gibbs' novel concerning Albert Einstein's final equation that could save the world's energy problems. The story takes place in the present day as the government enlists a fugitive and mathematical genius to find the equation before it falls into someone else's hands.

Lionsgate looks to save energy with adaptation
Stuart Gibbs' debut novel about Albert Einstein's final equation is getting the big screen treatment, courtesy of Lionsgate. The book, titled The Last Equation, is about the mystery behind Pandora, Einstein's equation that had the potential to save the world's energy problems.
