Wire scribe to adapt own novel for big screen

Richard Price (HBO's The Wire) will adapt his own crime novel, Lush Life, for Miramax Films. The book is about a restaurant manager who decides to walk a drunken friend home for the evening. When one of the men ends up shot, the ensuing murder investigation reveals much about the city and the involved parties.
