Dimension hopes to develop franchise with purchase
Dimension Films bought the screen rights to Locke & Key, a graphic novel penned by the son of Stephen King that the studio hopes to turn into a franchise. Written by Joe Hill, the story is about a group of children who become the caretakers of a magical New England mansion. Behind the Keyhouse's doors are special powers, abilities to change locations and a violent creature.
