DiCaprio, WB partner up for anime gig
Anime classic Akira is coming to the big screen, courtesy of Warner Bros. and Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way company. Expected to be released in two parts, with the first appearing in theaters in summer 2009, Akira tells the story of a post-nuclear war "New Tokyo" in 2019. Except in the live-action update, the action moves to "New Manhattan."
