Kutcher comedy sets its Anchor
Anchor Bay (a sister company of Overture) picked up U.S. and Australian rights to Spread, a dramedy starring funnyman Ashton Kutcher that recently played at Sundance. The deal is in the neighborhood of $3.5 million.

Kutcher, Leigh to play lovers
Ashton Kutcher (What Happens in Vegas) and Jennifer Jason Leigh (Margot at the Wedding) both signed on to star in Spread, an indie sex comedy from Scottish helmer David MacKenzie (Young Adam). Penned by newbie writer Jason Dean Hall, the film chronicles the story between a womanizer (Kutcher) and his thwarted lover (Leigh).
