Dylan McDermott wants Mercy
Dylan McDermott and Scott Caan signed up for parts in Mercy, an indie romancer from director Patrick Hoelck. The story, written by Caan, is about a young novelist who writes about love but fails to believe in it until he falls in love for the first time. Alexie Gilmore, Erika Christensen, Troy Garity and John Boyd also star. Production begins Monday in Los Angeles.

Quarles has Mercy
Emmett/Furla Films has signed a two-picture deal with Darryl J. Quarles (Big Momma's House). One of the films is to be titled Mercy, and will be a buddy action film set in the deep underworld of New Orleans.
