Scribe set for Wolverine
20th Century Fox continues to push forward with X-Men related projects, even in the aftermath of the departure of Bryan Singer, director of the first two films in the franchise. Now, the studio has assigned screenwriter David Benioff to write the script for a spin-off film. Wolverine is being developed with an eye toward X-Men star Hugh Jackman in the lead role. The most popular mutant in both the comic book and the film, the story will be developed at the same time as X3, the third movie in the X-Men series.
