Sarsgaard Joins Rendition
Peter Sarsgaard has joined the cast of director Gavin Hood's Rendition, about a CIA operative in the Middle East who begins to second-guess his assignment after he witnesses a secret interrogation of a suspect in a suicide bombing. Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon are already set to star. Kelley Sane wrote the script.

New Line to Make Rendition
Gavin Hood, who guided Tsotsi to the best foreign language film Oscar earlier this year, will direct the political thriller Rendition. New Line Cinema is fast-tracking the development of the film. It is about a CIA analyst in Egypt who stumbles upon an interrogation of a foreign national by Egyptian secret police.
