Universal goes to Prison

Universal has acquired North American distribution for the buddy comedy You Are Going to Prison. The movie is set to be released later this year and stars Dax Shepard, Will Arnett and Chi McBride. Bob Odenkirk directed the film from a screenplay by Robert Ben Garant, Thomas Lennon and Michael Patrick Jann. The project filmed at Joliet Prison near Chicago (you may recognize it as the prison home of the Blues Brothers). The movie centers on a career criminal and an entitled rich man who are stuck together in a cell at a maximum-security prison.

McBride is Going to Prison

Chi McBride has joined the cast of the jail comedy You Are Going to Prison, where he'll star alongside Dax Shepard and Will Arnett. Bob Odenkirk is directing the film from a screenplay by Robert Ben Garant, Thomas Lennon and Michael Patrick Jann. McBride will play a powerful, musical inmate in the prison where a career criminal and a spoiled rich guy get stuck in a cell together.
